Team Lead Used Vehicle Reconditioning Technician / Mechanic – Ford of Boerne

We are looking for a team leader who can mentor other technicians, diagnose and perform repairs quickly and efficiently, and clearly communicate with customers and service consultants.

Job Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose used vehicles for current work and future needs with reconditioning manager and used car director. 
• Provide labor estimates to reconditioning manager. 
• Ability to perform maintenance and light repair on all makes and models. 
• Monitor repair time and update supervisors. 
• Complete story and documentation for internal repairs
• Perform quality inspections, including test drives, of vehicles prior to returning them to sales department. 
• Communicate directly with our reconditioning manager to keep used vehicle director informed of any additional service needs and provide an estimate for any new repairs.

Compensation

Compensation is based on mechnical experience and expertise. 

Job Requirements

At our dealership, recon technicians are determined and persistent problem solvers who are expected to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the latest automotive technologies.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED (general equivalency diploma); or 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
