Service Dispatcher - Ford of Boerne

Our dealership has an outstanding opportunity for a results-focused Service Dispatcher.  You will be responsible for dispatching work for technicians as they receive service calls and maintaining daily schedules for these technicians. You will also spend a great deal of time speaking to customers, so friendliness and a professional demeanor are important in this position.

Description

• Schedule shop work as efficiently as possible in accordance with dealership policy.
• Assign work to the correct technician level
• Ensure that technicians follow warranty material disposition procedures
• Administer safety and housekeeping policies and procedures
• Review hard copies turned in by technicians to ensure that assigned work has been completed properly
• Ensure technicians complete the multi-point vehicle inspection forms
• Ensure each warranty RO has a vehicle history attached
• Complete a dispatch log daily and turn into Service Management at end of shift
• Maintain a record of carryover vehicles
• Coordinate parts requirements with the Parts Department
• Spot-check repairs to assure quality and timely completion
• Maintain proper training in the operation of service equipment (i.e. lifts and hoists)
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes, OSHA right-to-know, etc.
• Ensure that all repair orders are accounted for and closed when work is completed
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• 2 - 5+ years’ experience
• Knowledge of service department workflow
• Technician scheduling and manufacturer warranty
• Proficient in booking and flagging of service department repair orders
