Responsibilities

Perform multipoint inspections
Communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisors
Service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using hand- or compressed-air powered grease guns
Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings and shackles
Check tire pressure
Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil
Add water to radiator and battery
Replace oil and air filters
Inspect all vehicles for additional repairs
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards and codes of conduct
Follow dealership safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt and harsh chemicals
Qualifications

Familiarity with all aspects of automotive repair/maintenance
Must have a valid driver license and be able to operate manual transmissions
Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Parts Counterperson (Automotive) - Ford of Boerne

Sure, you’ll need to be good at ordering parts and maintaining inventory, but you’ll also need excellent people skills when dealing with customers and internal staff. Responsibilities

Determine needs and accurately specify parts accordingly
Create and modify purchase orders
Issue purchase orders to appropriate vendor to order parts
Record warranty parts returned
Create special ordered parts on dealership computer system and notify ASM, technician or client upon receipt
Review special order parts tracking
Process and close open invoices
Compare invoices against requisitions to verify quality and quantity of merchandise received
Keep records of outside purchases and parts received and issued
Perform ongoing warehouse parts inventory
Education and/or Experience
THREE years of Dealership experience and/or training. 
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.

Ford of Boerne just completed a multi-million dollar Reconditioning Facilty! This new service shop will perform reconditioning on all makes and models for our used vehicle department. Responsibilities

Examine and diagnose used vehicles

Monitor repair time and update reconditioning manager
Complete story and/or documentation for internal repairs

Service Technician / Mechanic - Ford of Boerne 
Skilled technicians are in high demand. So to keep a good service tech, you have to treat them right. Here, you’ll work alongside some of the best in the business. You’ll also be responsible for diagnosing and repairing client and dealership vehicles while maintaining a positive relationship with clients who return with unsatisfactory work. Plan work procedures in cooperation with shop foreman

Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs
Assist in mentoring technician trainees
Attend company and factory training
Keep current with factory technical bulletins
